Overview
Introducing a financial incentive scheme to encourage financial services industry practitioners to acquire and upgrade professional skills in the asset and wealth management sector
The Financial Incentive Scheme for Professional Training (“Scheme”) aims:
- to enhance the competency and professionalism of in-service practitioners within the asset and wealth management (“WAM”) sector; and
- to assist other practitioners within the financial services industry in acquiring the knowledge and skills required for entering the asset and wealth management field.
The Subsidy Scheme for Individual Applicants
The Scheme will subsidise eligible participants’ participation in a wide range of WAM-related training programmes offered by various reputable eligible professional institutions. The training programmes include face-to-face courses, seminars and live webinars (pre-recorded webinars and e-courses are not included). For details of the eligible programmes, please refer to Eligible Training Programmes. The information therein will be updated from time to time.
Under the Scheme, each eligible participant will be reimbursed 80% of course fees upon satisfactory completion of eligible courses, subject to a cap of $15,000 per person for the entire duration of the Scheme (i.e. from 1 October 2016 to 31 March 2026).
To benefit more industry practitioners, the Scheme has also relaxed the eligibility requirement to cover in-between job practitioners who have been licensed and worked for eligible financial institutions from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025, in addition to in-service practitioners.
* Applicants must complete the online application and submit all required documents to the HKSI Institute within FOUR months from the last day of the course completed.
* Applicants is reminded to read through the "Guide to Applicants" for eligibility and application procedure before application.
