Introducing a financial incentive scheme to encourage financial services industry practitioners to acquire and upgrade professional skills in the asset and wealth management field
The financial incentive scheme for professional training (“The Scheme”) aims at:
- enhancing the competency and professionalism of in-service practitioners within the asset and wealth management (“WAM”) sector; and
- assisting other practitioners within the financial services industry to acquire the knowledge and skills required for entering the asset and wealth management field.
The Steering Committee has endorsed a list of courses, seminars and conferences relating to WAM offered by the CFA Institute, the HKU/PWMA, the Hong Kong Investment and Securities Institute (HKSI Institute) and The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) under the Scheme. The list will be updated from time to time. For more information about the eligible courses and seminars, please refer to Eligible Training Programmes.
In-service practitioners of the financial services industry will be eligible for the Scheme. They will be reimbursed 80% of the eligible course(s) fees, subject to a maximum of $7,000 (whichever is lower) upon satisfactory completion of the course or seminar over the three-year period of the Scheme.
* Applicants must submit all required documents to the HKSI Institute within FOUR months from the last day of the course attended.
^ Applicants may also apply by printing and submitting a paper application form.
Please note that the applicant must come in person to the HKSI Institute office to submit the paper application form together with all supporting documents.
Submission of the paper application form and supporting documents by mail will NOT be accepted.
